Road closures in effect this weekend for FSU Homecoming

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- The Tallahassee Police Department has announced several road closures set to go into effect this weekend due to Florida State University's Homecoming festivities and other seasonal events.

Friday, October 19
FSU Homecoming Parade

1:45-4:00 pm

Railroad Avenue closed from Gaines to Park Avenue

Madison Street closed from Railroad to Bronough Street

MLK Jr. Blvd closed from Gaines Street to Park Avenue

Copeland Street closed from Park Avenue to Madison Street

Downtown Get Down

3 pm – 11 pm

College Avenue closed from Duval Street to Monroe Street

Adams Street closed from Jefferson Street to College Avenue

Friday Night Block Party (aka Seminole Experience)

9 am – 12:30 am

Madison Street closed from Lorene to Woodward

Woodward Avenue closed from Gaines Street to St. Augustine Street

Fright Night at Southwood

3-11 pm

Merchants Row closed from Four Oaks to Colleton Ct.

Ivy Green Trail closed Alcott Drive to Merchants Row

Saturday, October 20
Voter Registration Block Party

12:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Perry Street will be closed from Floral Street to Manatee Street

FSU v. Wake Forest

11 am – 9:30 pm

(The traffic pattern will be held longer for the post-game concert at the stadium)

FSU Football Game Traffic Pattern:
Booster traffic only:

- On Stadium Drive from Pensacola Street to Gaines Street.

-On Varsity Drive from Gaines Street to Jefferson Street.

-On Spirit Way from Stadium Drive to Chieftain Way.

-On Chieftain Way from Call Street to Pensacola Street.

-On Champions Way from Stadium Drive to W. Pensacola Street.

-On Hendry Street from Jackson Bluff Road to Stadium Drive.

-Madison Street is closed from Woodward Avenue to Lorene Street.

FSU Post-game:

-No traffic north on Springhill Road from Orange Avenue toward Gaines Street.

-No traffic south on Stadium Drive from Tennessee Street.

-No traffic north on Monroe Street from Gaines Street. (Traffic will go east on Gaines)

-Traffic will be prioritized away from the stadium.
