Kansas City Royals select Jackson Lueck in MLB Draft

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WCTV) -- The Kansas City Royals have selected Jackson Lueck in the eighth round of the 2018 MLB Draft.

Lueck, who was taken 242 overall, saw a dip in his average in 2018, hitting under .300 for the first time in his career (.258) while adding a career-best 15 home runs to go along with 45 RBI.

In three years with the Noles, Lueck slashed .309/.414/.521 and hit 28 home runs and drove in 134 runs.

Lueck is the fourth Seminole to be selected in this year's draft, following Cal Raleigh, Cole Sands and Andrew Karp.
