Michael McILwee is a journalist and performer. He hails from Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Before pursuing journalism, Michael has been performing since the age of ten. Most recently, he was seen in the Broadway National and International tours of A Chorus Line, Phantom, and The Music Man. His other regional credits include 42nd Street, White Christmas, Oliver, and Hello, Dolly! He has also performed in various classical ballets, including the title role of The Nutcracker. Michael has performed in every state in the United States and multiple cities worldwide, like Jakarta and London.
Michael is an alumnus of The New School, where he received his BFA in musical theatre. He also has trained in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
After his travels around the world, Michael sparked an interest in the politics of different countries and the stories of the people that live there. He most recently graduated from New York University where he received a Master's degree in journalism.
