VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Three minors were arrested Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

The alleged incident happened on Jan. 15, when police say a caller reported someone was shooting at kids that ran into her house along New Hudson Street.

While officers were investigating, they received another call about a man being robbed at gunpoint by kids when he was attempting to sell a Play Station 5 on New Hudson Street, according to VPD.

The man said when he got in his car and began to leave, the kids chased him and shot at his car.

An 11-year-old and 15-year-old were arrested and charged in connection to the incident. A 16-year-old was later arrested for allegedly having a stolen game console, according to VPD.

In a press release, Valdosta Police Chief Leslie Manahan called the incident “alarming” and said “the fact that an 11-year-old had a firearm and shot at someone is disturbing.  I am proud of the work from our officers and detectives to hold these juveniles accountable.  We are grateful that no one was injured.”

The 11-year-old and 15-year-old were detained at a Regional Youth Detention Center on Jan. 25, according to VPD.

No other updates have been released at this time.
