TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - In the short term, there are a few showers in the western parts of the Big Bend and far southwest Georgia Wednesday evening. Those showers will gradually fall apart this later Wednesday evening, and it will be much milder with lows in the mid 50s for Thursday morning.

Thursday will be warm and breezy with highs in the mid to upper 70s. A few afternoon showers are possible, then rain and thunderstorms likely in the evening Thursday, including a “Marginal Risk” (1 out of 5) for a severe storm, with the primary threat being damaging wind gusts.

Much colder air returns on Friday with highs only in the 50s.

The weekend will be dry, but morning lows will be in the mid 30s Saturday, but near 30 Sunday with frost and a light freeze. Warmer weather quickly returns next week.
