Deputies: Man stabbed victim to death after he “disrespected” him outside Tallahassee Walgreens
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Deputies say a man was stabbed to death outside a Tallahassee Walgreens by a suspect who felt he had been “disrespected.”
Leon County sheriff’s deputies responded to the call just after 8 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Capital Circle Southwest and West Tennessee Street.
Witnesses told investigators the suspect, 67-year-old Orlando Estrada-Cabrera, got into an argument with another man after Cabrera felt the man had made a disrespectful statement about him.
That’s when Cabrera pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim two or three times in what the witnesses described in the arrest affidavit as an “unprovoked attack.”
The arrest report says Cabrera was found nearby, covered in blood, and admitted to the stabbing. Witnesses told investigators the suspect and victim did not know one another. Both are believed to be homeless, according to the arrest affidavit.
Estrada-Cabrera was arrested on a charge of second degree murder and is in the Leon County Jail.
