SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, Suwannee County Fire Rescue and the Florida Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission conducted a joint marine operations training Friday afternoon, SCSO said on Facebook.

The training consisted of safe boating operations, vessel stops and contacts on waterways with other vessels. The training was made possible by FWC.

“SCSO, SCFR, and FWC want to remind you to make sure you practice safe boating while on the water and ensure you have the appropriate safety equipment on your vessel while boating,” the agencies wrote.

SCSO, SCFR and FWC said that they all will be present throughout the Florida boating season to patrol Big Bend water ways and area springs. Boating regulations in the state can be found by clicking here.
