TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a 46-year-old Lake Mary man is in critical condition after a Sunday night crash on I-10 in Leon County. According to troopers, the crash happened on I-10 East at mile marker 209, around 9:15 p.m.

A semi-truck was driving in the outside eastbound lane in that area, and an SUV crashed into its rear, the press release says. The front of the SUV was lodged underneath the semi, and both vehicles stopped in the emergency lane, troopers say. The driver of the SUV was the man who suffered critical injuries.

I-10 East was closed for a short amount of time because of the crash, the release says. FHP says the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Tallahassee Fire Department and Leon County EMS all helped out at the scene.
