TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Florida State University Police Department is investigating a battery that occurred Friday night on campus.

The incident happened around 7:30 in the area of Williams Building and Dodd Hall.

The female victim was on campus running when an unknown black man followed and grabbed her in a “bear hug” from behind, according to FSU PD.

The victim was able to break free of the grasp and get away from the subject. The subject ran away from the area. The victim was not injured in this incident.

The suspect is described as being a black man who is in his late teenage to early 20′s with a small face, gaps between his teeth and is approximately five feet, two inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white tee-shirt, and had a bicycle that possible had red stripes on it.
