Madison Co. man arrested for false imprisonment, operating marijuana grow house, aggravated assault
MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A Madison County man has been arrested on a number of charges following an altercation late Tuesday evening and another altercation Wednesday morning, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said.
Daniel Gordon Woske was arrested on battery (released on bond), burglary while armed, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, felony battery, false imprisonment, criminal mischief, unlawful cultivation of a controlled substance, operating a marijuana grow house, sell/manufacture/deliver/traffic drugs and possession of cannabis over 20 grams.
An MCSO deputy was dispatched to an address located on Old County Camp Road in reference to a past physical altercation, and contacted a woman victim who told him that she had been choked by a man identified Woske at his home on SE Robinwood Drive. The victim stated that Woske was “an acquaintance” and allowed her to live in her camper on his property behind his residence, MCSO said.
The victim said that Woske wanted a phone that she had borrowed from another person, then became aggressive when he learned she did not have the phone with her. The victim told Woske she would call law enforcement if he put his hands on her and said that Woske became irate and forced himself on top of her where he began choking her with his hands.
MCSO said that the victim was able to free herself and left the resident.
The deputy made contact with Woske at his resident, and he admitted that the victim was at his residence but stated that he only touched her to wake her up and denied choking her.
Woske was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail for the offense of Battery where he was able to post bond and was released.
Less than twelve hours later, on Wednesday morning, MCSO deputies were again dispatched to Woske’s residence in reference to the same victim from the previous night being attacked again. The victim told deputies that she was asleep in her camper and was awoken by Woske beating on the camper door with an ax to gain entry, according to MCSO.
The victim said that Woske entered the camper and pointed a handgun at her and demanded she walk to his residence. Once outside, the victim said that she ran but was quickly tackled to the ground where Woske began chocking her again.
During that time, MCSO said a vehicle pulled into the yard and Woske let the victim go.
Woske was again arrested.
While photographing and documenting the scene, MCSO deputies and investigators found multiple marijuana plants growing within a very close proximity to the back of the residence. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Woske’s residence to include the immediate areas surrounding the residence for the purpose of locating the ax, handgun and any further evidence of illicit narcotic activity.
Upon service of the search warrant, investigators were able to locate the ax used during the break in, an indoor marijuana grow operation and evidence of narcotic distribution.
Woske remains in the Madison County Jail without bond.
