Jackson County deputy’s SUV rear-ended on Jefferson St.

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.

According to the release from FHP, a pickup truck was traveling south on Jefferson Street behind the deputy’s SUV. The JCSO SUV had to stop because there was stopped traffic ahead. The truck failed to stop and rear-ended the SUV, the release says.

This happened near the intersection of Jefferson and Davis streets around 7:48 a.m. The 32-year-old deputy had minor injuries and is expected to be OK.
