TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Over the weekend, 16 arrests were made and two guns were seized as part of the ongoing Deputies Without Borders initiative in the Big Bend.

The operation, run by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office, the Gadsden county Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, ran from May 21-May 23.

Additionally, LCSO said 117 grams of marijuana and 59 grams of methamphetamine were seized during the operation as well.

Deputies Without Borders was formed as an effort to enhance local agencies’ crime response capabilities, especially in the curtailing of illegal drugs, apprehending violent criminals, sharing of information about local offenders and more.
