UPDATE: 1 dead, 3 injured in Capital Circle SW and Blountstown Highway crash

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Troopers with The Florida Highway Patrol are investigating after a man died and three others were injured in a Monday night crash at the intersection of Capital Circle SW and Blountstown Highway.

According to FHP’s crash report, a car traveling south on Capital Circle SW around 10:30 p.m. ran a red light at the intersection, slamming into a car driving on Blountstown Highway. The man driving the first car was killed, and three people in the second car were injured, FHP’s report says. One woman’s injuries were critical, while another woman and a man both had serious injuries, according to troopers.

FHP’s report also says after the initial collision, the first car also hit two other vehicles. No one in those vehicles was hurt.

Viewer Jonathan Wallerius sent WCTV a video of the crash’s aftermath, showing one of the cars on fire before fire crews put it out.
